Guthrie Center Communications Inside Wire Maintenance Agreement covers unexpected expenses for repair calls which are caused by inside wiring and/or customer owned equipment (COE). Inside wire is defined as all wiring beyond the demarcation point. The demarcation point is in the gray box where our underground line terminates, and your inside wire begins. Customer Owned Equipment (COE) could include telephones, answering systems, televisions, computers, firewalls, etc.
The Maintenance Agreement fee will pay for isolating the trouble to your inside wire or equipment. If the wire was installed according to industry standards it will be repaired or replaced as necessary. If the trouble is found to be COE, if necessary, the COE will be unplugged to clear the trouble for no extra charge. Trouble caused by non standard wiring practices, acts of vandalism, etc. will not be covered under the Maintenance Agreement. The Maintenance Agreement is intended to cover failures caused by normal use of the wiring and/or COE.
The Maintenance Agreement will be in effect for a minimum of 12 months, ongoing there after until canceled by customer. If service is terminated before the end of the 12 month minimum, then if and when customer reconnects service the Maintenance Agreement will be reactivated at least until the 12 month minimum obligation is met.
